Counsellor, BACP registered, working with a diverse range of clients and issues, across the UK, via Zoom.

You may be feeling anxious, stressed, burnt out, sad, angry, stuck or just plain curious about your thought processes; counselling can help support you through challenging, painful and uncertain times.

Introduction:

Trained in Integrative Counselling – combining person-centred and psychodynamic approaches to therapy – I work short and long-term with individuals 18 +.

Coming from a background in music, art, dance, fashion, media and entertainment, I have an understanding of the specific nature and challenges of these worlds and industries as well as the creative mindset and work with many clients from these fields.

Having benefitted myself from therapy, I decided to study counselling out of interest and was blown away by what I learnt about our early influences, how we develop and adapt, the patterns of behaviour we acquire and how all of this plays out in our current day to day lives. By the end of my Diploma course, I decided counselling was the vocation for me.

Life throws many challenges at us. Having the opportunity to talk openly and freely in the counselling space, reflecting on events and relationships, can make a difference, supporting your emotional health and wellbeing.

The Process:

Counselling provides the unique opportunity for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, without judgement, in confidence and at a pace that feels comfortable to you. From specific life events to on-going issues, if something is bothering you, or feels like it is holding you back, counselling can help to resolve this, allowing you to move forward more freely with your life.

I work with a wide range of issues including: anxiety and social anxiety - low mood - depression - abuse - fears - feelings of resentment and jealousy - health-related issues - issues around food - bereavement and loss - loneliness - bullying - identity - love addiction - family, friend and work relationships and dynamics - unresolved family trauma - family legacies and secrets - self-esteem - self-image. You might identify with one or more of these issues, or you might want to look at something else, each of my clients is unique, some have been diagnosed or self-diagnosed as neurodivergent, what is important are your personal life experiences, thoughts and feelings.

My Practice:

Alongside my private practice, I am part of the counselling team at BIMM London (The British and Irish Modern Music University), MetFilm School and London Contemporary Dance School.

Prior to that, I was part of the team at BIMM Brighton which includes a Music University, Screen and Film School and Institute for Contemporary Theatre.

I am also a freelance counsellor for Eggtooth, the South Coast’s leading creative wellbeing service for children, young people, parents and professionals.
